SINGLE ROOM AVAILABLE IN A SHARED 2 SINGLE ROOMS APARTMENT IN BOLOGNA - 12 months minimum stay. Shortening in cases of unforeseen delays in visa processing - “Contratto tipo transitorio per studenti” from Student Accommodation and Information Service (SAIS) appointed by the University of Bologna is required. 50-50 splits related costs - 640 € fixed monthly fee. Expenses, taxes and home risk insurance are included. No WiFi because the cell phone provides internet connection to other devices (laptop, tablet, etc.) - Only one month deposit A private and quite 15m² single room (pictured in green) is available for a non-smoker responsible university student respectful of neighbours with a big window, a comfortable single slatted bed base, a bedside table, a 3-door wardrobe, a bookcase, a desk with storage and a chair. If you would reduce baggage weight/cost when travelling, you can use linens available in place. Within the shared spaces (not coloured in the picture) of the 95m² apartment you will find an open space with two covered balconies, an annexed fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom with separate shower and tub not suitable for wheelchair users. Centralized heating system, air conditioning split unit, led smart TV, dishwasher, fridge, oven, capsule coffee machine and the traditional Italian moka pot, iron, washing machine and hair dryer are available. One internal stair and two elevators in a single shaft serve the building to access the 5th floor where the apartment is located. All building floors, including below-ground level, are always illuminated as well as the condo private garden and the walking paths to access the building infrastructure. There is also a private parking for bicycles at the below-ground level of the building with access through an electric gate from outside or the elevator from inside. Our two maximum students policy helps ensure quality across daily life. Sorry, no pets are allowed inside the room/apartment and no guests are allowed during the night. Exceptions for guests should be agreed in advance with the other housemate and the landlord. In shared housing best practices such as cleaning, quiet hours, rent payment, respect of private spaces and diversity of culture are welcome between students. Common practices may include establishing communal "kitties" for essentials and cleaning rotas. Over the years Bologna became more bicycle friendly with dedicated bike lanes (still far from Copenhagen and Amsterdam) so, biking is common particularly for short daily trips like shopping and commuting to central train stations or university venues. Our used/old bike and helmet can be shared by you and the student in the other room. The cozy location is not far from the University of Bologna oldest buildings and it is located in a district with green areas, shops, restaurants, food markets, sports centres, pharmacy and hospital within walking distance. In addition, the public transport primarily managed by TPER includes frequent buses, local/regional trains, car sharing and extensive eBike sharing. Cell phones 4G/5G mobile connectivity is better than the copper connectivity available within the building that may easily experience degradation. The University of Bologna provides free robust WiFi access within all its UniBo facilities and there are also free internet access points in Bologna for public use that assure the digital connection.
