At the user’s request, the UNIBO account is used to access the SAIS service.

Processing is necessary to provide the service.

The student account is deactivated after more than 6 months of inactivity (no login).


Credentials are deleted if the UNIBO account is removed.

Booking and Payments

Within the Personal Area, users can book accommodation. If the property owner accepts the request, an infobox with payment instructions will be activated.

Payment is made directly between the user and the property owner.

Who may access the data?

Personal data will be shared exclusively with property owners to enable booking confirmation and payment.

In the case of payments via PayPal or banking institutions, transactions are carried out through external channels, and data is provided directly by the user to complete the payment.

Data is used to fulfill the signed contract and provide access to the website’s Personal Area.

Without personal data, it is not possible to execute the contract or provide access to the Personal Area.

Until the end of the contract and for 10 years thereafter, in compliance with fiscal and accounting obligations.
Who may access the data?

Personal data will be shared exclusively with users who have completed booking and payment.

 

To improve and optimize the service, and based on the user’s consent, additional personal data may be requested (e.g., availability times, how you found us).

Personal data may also be processed for further purposes if compatible with those described in this notice.

Usage data related to the Personal Area and website access may be processed in anonymous and aggregated form for analysis and service improvement purposes.

2. How is the data processed?

Collected data is primarily processed using IT tools. Appropriate security measures are in place to prevent data loss, unlawful or improper use, and unauthorized access.

The Data Controller collects personal data through contact forms and website forms, or via email communications.

Personal data is processed within the European Union.

How the service works

The agreement between Fondazione CEUR and the University of Bologna aims to provide hospitality services to international guests staying at university facilities for study, internships, teaching, research, or other institutional activities.

The service consists of qualified support for international users in finding accommodation in the Municipality of Bologna and surrounding areas, through a dedicated housing database and a web platform. The platform allows remote booking and online payment via https://www.saisaccommodation.it, a domain owned by Fondazione CEUR.

 

3. Who processes personal data?

 

Personal data is processed by authorized internal personnel who are properly trained and bound by confidentiality obligations.

Additionally, personal data is processed by companies providing services for website operation (hosting, chat, etc.), formally appointed as data processors and required to comply with technical and organizational security measures ensuring data protection.

4. What are my rights?

Access to personal data

You may obtain confirmation as to whether your personal data is being processed, along with further information and a copy of the data.

Rectification of personal data

You may request correction to ensure the accuracy of your personal data.

Erasure of personal data

You may request deletion of your personal data in accordance with Article 17 GDPR.

Restriction of processing

You may request restriction of processing, particularly when opposing deletion if the data is needed for legal claims.

Data portability

For data processed by automated means, you have the right to receive your data in a structured, commonly used format.
