To obtain an accommodation declaration, it is not necessary to have completed the University enrollment procedures. It is sufficient to demonstrate that your application has been accepted by the Offices of the University of Bologna and to register with SAIS.

It is an alphanumeric code and identifies individuals in the Italian territory: it must be issued by the Internal Revenue Service or Embassy and is mandatory in order to have a regular registered contract.

If the lease agreement is in the name of all tenants occupying the apartment, they will be jointly and severally liable for the obligations mentioned in the agreement.

If there is a need to end the lease relationship sooner, it is advisable to read carefully the articles pertaining to Taking Over and Withdrawal.
Withdrawal is always possible for just cause when it is a single contract (landlord and a tenant).

Subletting is the contract whereby a tenant subleases all or part of the property (such as a room) to another tenant.

The contract is always a written agreement in the Italian language, so any verbal agreement should be avoided: a lack of clarity on the part of both parties (landlord and tenant) can cause many misunderstandings.If it is your first time dealing with a lease agreement we suggest not to be in a hurry, not to sign it just for fear of missing the opportunity: it is your right to understand all the terms of the contract.
